Linda, Laura and Jimmy-

I just heard of Jimmy's death this week and wanted to be sure you knew that the entire Dykens family is thinking of you. My dad, especially, was very upset to learn of his good friend's passing. Dad still shares many happy stories of the fun antics that occured between "the guys" on the job at Cambridge Electric. Personally, I fondly recall our many Hampton Beach share-a-cottage summers, and spending a good part of my childhood Friday nights with all of you.

Please take comfort in knowing Jimmy was well loved and will be missed by many.

Big Jim I hope that you have your umpire gear ready for the Little League season. That pitch looked a little high.

Dad:
Thought I would tell you I made the liver, bacon, onions and potatoes. It wasn't quite the same eating it alone. It's hard to believe that this Thursday it will have been four years since my wedding. Some day I hope I can watch the video of you and I dancing. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of you and miss you!!!!
Love,
Laura

Dad:
It still does not seem real to me that you are gone. Last night I came across a receipt from Friendly's from 2/20/07 when I bought you your favorite ice cream chocolate chip. I know someday I will see you again and you can cook me liver, bacon, onions and potato. Until then I guess I will have to stick to the chicken livers you and I would have Christmas and Thanksgiving morning and I will gross everyone else out. You are lucky you don't have a phone where you are now because you know me I'd have to call at least 2-3 times a day! I will be thinking of you every day. Love you!!!

Linda, Laura and Jimmy
Jim was my other big brother. I do not remember when he was not in my life. I remember the cartoons he drew for my room, his pepsi and milk drink. He was the best puzzle maker ever. I was always welcomed on the vacations from Hampton Beach to Curacao. When he liked someone he always said they were "good people" Jim was good people He was the best. I will miss him, his stories and playful ribbing. I will remember all the good times we had throughout all the years.
