Some of you knew jim as the glue that kept friends together. Some knew him as the person who could always put a smile on your face, or as the co-worker who made the worst of days into the best of days, or as "Ben", the captain of Cloud Nine, who would make you feel at home. I knew him as my big brother, a person who lived life with uncompromising love for his family and friends. I will miss you Jim....Love always "The Grub" A.K.A. Manny

To all my cousins and Aunt's and Uncle's, I am so saddened by Jimmy's death, it is so hard to believe. The last time I saw Jimmy was at moms funeral. He brought his boat down to Gloucester with his Dad and Uncle John and Uncle Joe. I got to see his boat for the first time, he loved it. David and I waved to them as they left the harbour, Tony, Joe and John having the time of their life with Jimmy. That is what I will remember. Jimmy would do anything for his family. God bless you Jimmy you will be very missed.

To Jimmy's family and friends,

I was so sad to hear of Jimmy's untimely death... I didn't know him well at New England College, but he was a very funny guy who everyone knew and liked. My condolences to each and every one of you, and my thoughts and prayers are with you too.

To the family,

I was a classmate of Jim's, not very close, but he always had time to talk to a fellow classmate. I knew if he was in one of my classes or walking in the halls there was something fun about to happen.

I was happy to see him again after all these years at our Holiday Reunions. Excpecally the last one, he seemed so very happy, we had contacted many classmates thought to be amoung the missing. We all enjoyed talking and remembering old school times. Jim cheefully took our goup photo for our websit. (awesome photo)

Jim, a kind, gentle, soul, you will be missed.

God Bless

Peace

To Manny, Pam and The Ferro Family,

We were so sorry to hear of the sudden loss of Jim. Joe remembers visiting your brother down at the marina in the Navy Yard when we lived in Charlestown. He was a great guy and will surely be missed by all who loved and knew him. Losing a brother is like losing a part of yourself. Remember all the good times you had with him. We will keep all of you in our prayers.

Love,

Kelly and Joe Lahiff

Even though I hadn't seen Jimmy in years, we have spoken about once a year and it is though we were still in Jumb's basement, the El Phoenix, the Eudemon Lounge, Arundel (especially The George and Dragon/Magic Bus/near bar room brawl), or at

Hossie's house for the kegger where the dart "slipped" out his hand into

my achilles tendon. Jimmy, I have always loved you. The last I knew, that raspberry jamb was still holding. The bleachers at Fenway to see your favorite Sox manager of all times, the Gerbel. I feel that we're not done yet! God will be impressed!

The heck with "mugs away", I say its "Mustangs away".

My friend, I hardly, knew ye.....Peace!

Jim was a great co-worker. I miss him. I will never forget waving to him from the Boston Harbor boat and he and his dad waving back from his boat. I'm so gald that we had the company outing where most employees attended and got a chance to see Jim one last time. My prayers are with his family and friends.

I had the pleasure of working with Jim for the past two years. He always made the office laugh with his wonderful sense of humor and great jokes. He was so friendly and full of life. He will never be forgotten by all of those who love him...I will never forget his final farewell to us...on his last day here on Earth, he was out with his father and all of us co-workers with his boat off of Georges Island. It was a beautiful, sunny day out by the ocean. When it was time to leave the island, we all waved goodbye to Jim as our ferry took off, and Jim steered his boat behind us, alongside his father. Little did we all know it would be our final goodbye with Jim...Yesterday I did a lot of thinking, and reflecting on how life works--I am at the very least grateful that Jim was given that one last day out in the sun, on the ocean, in his boat with his father...May all of Jim's family and friends be comforted by this, and also by knowing that Jim's spirit and love will live on forever....for that is something that nobody can ever take away...Rest in peace, Jim. Love to you always.
