James HANEY Obituary

HANEY, James Michael Age 78, of Boston, passed away June 19, 2023, at Massachusetts General Hospital, with his family by his side. He will be forever loved and remembered by his son, James, Jr.; his daughter, Andrea Jean Veronica Litvak and her husband, Dan; his two grandchildren Benjamin "Ben"' Daniel and Julia Marie; his two siblings, Millie Phillips and her husband, Bob, and Linda Rainville and her husband, Jim; his sister-in-law, Brenda Haney; and his forever friends, Rose King and Marie Haney; along with several nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Jim was born in Boston to the late Stanley William and Alice Veronica (Arsenault) Haney, and raised in Burlington, MA. He was predeceased by four siblings, Stanley "Bill," Bernard "Bernie" Barbara Foster, and Susan Sylvia.

Jim was grateful for his family, and he especially cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren, Ben and Julia.

Jim worked as a Millwright (Local Union #1121); and enjoyed playing golf. He loved music!

Visiting Hours will be held in the McHoul Family Funeral Home, 354 Adams Street, DORCHESTER, on Saturday, July 8th, 10:30 AM-12:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will follow in the Gilman Chapel at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 920 Adams Street, Dorchester, at 1PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.

For those who wish, memorial contributions in Jim's memory can be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
