James McDONOUGH Obituary

McDONOUGH, James R. Age 62, of Halifax, MA, passed suddenly on April 15, 2024. Jim was the husband of late Danielle T. McDonough; and is survived by his loving daughter, Danielle J. McDonough and her mom, Kimberly Wilson. Jim was the son of the late Margaret (Montgomery) McDonough and the late Coleman McDonough. He is survived by sister, Patti Burke of Pembroke; brother, Rick of Weymouth. Jim leaves a nephew; nieces; and great-nephews and great-niece; and close friends. Jim worked for the Boston Globe until his retirement. He also spent time driving a truck locally and cross-country. Jim was a kind and giving soul, had an outspoken personality and good-humored. He practiced his faith and was involved in his church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 22, at 9 a.m., at Holy Apostles Church, 575 Monponsett St., Rte. 58, Halifax. Donations in Jim's memory can be made to Our Lady of the Lake Church, Halifax, MA.
