JAMES MORIN

MORIN, James "Jimmy" Known to his friends as "Yogi," died on March 5, 2021 following a tragic accident during his annual trip to his father's home in Palatka, FL. He leaves behind his beloved children Lindsay Ciepiela and her spouse Christine, Elyse Lepera and her spouse Michael and Erica Morin and her spouse Arthur Bush, and their mother, Deborah Youngstrom. He is also survived by his longtime partner Lyn Croteau, and her children Jenna and Peter Croteau, his father Paul Morin and his wife Mary, and his mother, Patricia Marie. He was a loving grandfather to Luca, Mateo, Nico, Vinny, Jove, Jacobe and Cecilia, and was looking forward to the birth of a new granddaughter in September. He was a cherished brother to his 11 siblings and lifelong friends, whom he considered "Brothers." Jimmy has a large extended family and friend group as he was dearly loved by all who knew him. Jimmy was an 18 year veteran of the United States Army Reserves, serving a tour in Operation Desert Storm. Jimmy was employed by Boston Sand and Gravel for over 30 years and we will all cherish memories of his guided tours of the city "he built." A native of South Boston, he enjoyed walking the "Island" with his family and riding his motorcycle was his favorite pastime. Visitation in the O'Brien Funeral Home, 146 Dorchester St., SOUTH BOSTON, on Monday, March 15th, from 5-8pm. Funeral Mass in St. Monica's Church, 331 Old Colony Ave., South Boston, on Tuesday, March 16th, at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Internment Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
