ROGERS, James Sr. Died unexpectedly on January 9, 2025, while on vacation with his family. James was born in Lynn, MA, November 23, 1935, the son of the late John and Aliceia (Mugherinie) Rogers. Jim was raised in Lynn and graduated from Lynn Classical High, with the Class of 1955. He married his wife of over 61 years, Geraldine N. (Breeden) Rogers, in 1963, whom he met on a "blind-date" and often would attest that it was "love at first sight." The couple lived in Saugus for a time, before settling in Tewksbury to raise their family. They moved to Seabrook Beach in 1997 after retirement, then to Hampton Beach eight years ago. Jim went into the U.S. Navy after high school. Upon completion of service to the country that he so loved and respected, James worked in hearing aid manufacturing for Earmaster of Burlingame, CA and attended college. James and Gerri founded Roger's Hearing Solutions and had a practice including six offices, spanning 35 years, throughout the Northshore and Merrimack Valley. James instilled the value and importance of hard work, self-worth and self-motivation, with deep respect for family, church, education, country and community to his children and grandchildren. In addition to his wife, James is survived by his son, James E. Rogers, Jr. and his wife, Marcia of Hampton; his daughter, Jennifer Ann Rogers-Burke and her husband, Matthew of Andover/Haverhill, MA; his grandchildren, Matthew James and Alice Jean-Gerri Burke and James "Jack" Rogers; his sister-in-law, Jean Rogers; and James was predeceased by his brother, John Rogers, Jr. of Windham, NH. James had immeasurable energy, always a positive outlook and those that knew him will vouch that he always had a smile and welcoming personality for those he met briefly to those that he knew for many years. Always an unwavering, happy presence. James had a love and talent for restoring antique cars, especially Mustangs, where he earned many Best Of Show.
