Jane Powell Obituary

POWELL, Jane M. (Stano) 68, formerly of Bellingham, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 11, 2010 at the Timothy Daniels House of Holliston, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late David M. Powell. Born June 24, 1941 in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Michael Stano and Harriet (Cass) McGrath. She was the loving mother of David M. Powell, Jr. of Uxbridge, MA, Elizabeth J. Prairie of Uxbridge, MA and her fiancé, Patrick Roche of Upton, MA, Patricia M. Ouellette and her husband, Robert, of Windham, CT. She leaves her 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, her nieces and nephew. She was the sister of Barbara McFadyen and her husband, David, of Sagamore Beach, MA, and Harriet "Bunny" Tiorano and her husband, Michael, of Dorchester, MA. Mrs. Powell was a longtime resident of Bellingham formerly of Boston, MA. A note of gratitude to her extended family at the Timothy Daniel's House for the loving care given during her stay. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Though she will be truly missed we know she is now with the Lord, whom she greatly loved. Visiting hours at Cartier's Funeral Home, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), BELLINGHAM, MA are Sunday, March 14 from 4 to 7PM. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 15 at 10:00 AM at the Bethany Assembly of God Church, 15 Cape Rd. (Rte 140), Mendon, MA. Interment will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Donations in memory of Jane M. Powell may be sent to the Timothy Daniels House, 84 Elm St., Holliston, MA 01746, and would be appreciated. My heartfelt sympathy to Jane's family. She shared a room with my Mother at Timothy Daniels and she was such a lovely woman. We will all miss her.
