Janet Vaughn Obituary

Of Holliston, August 11, 2001, Janet R. (Ryan) Vaughn, 55, died at the Metro West Leonard Morse Hospital in South Natick from colon cancer. "Probably the only advantage of knowing that you are going to die is that you can write your own obituary... I leave my husband and best friend. Dallas, after over 30 years of marriage. Without Dallas I never would have survived as long as I did nor would I have wanted to. I also leave my two daughters. Amy and Jill, and Jill's husband Mike Patno. My daughters have been more like sisters to me with all the fun and good times we have had together. I leave my two brothers, David Ryan and his wife Ginny, and Ronnie Ryan and his wife Bette. I was the youngest and was expected to live the longest....but it didn't happen that way. Last but not least, I leave my constant companion, my spoiled rotten dog, Charlie. I had an enjoyable career for over 17 years at EG&G, Inc., later Perkins-Elmer, Inc. I made many good friends and had many interesting times over the years. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be private. Please try to remember me alive and laughing. And finally I leave all this pain and sickness and now find out what I've wondered all my life...,"What happens now?" Goodbye to all - Janet.
