LANGELL, Jean N. Longtime 2nd Grade School Teacher On Friday, September 2, 2022, Jean Langell, loving mother of five children, passed away at the age of 94. Jean was born on October 28, 1927, in Woburn, MA, to Walter and Grace Rierdan. She received a teaching degree from the University of Lowell and taught 2nd grade for much of her career. In 1951 she married Donald Langell from Winchester, MA. They raised three sons, Donald, Richard, Robert; and two daughters, Pamela and Patricia. Jean loved card games, especially Bridge. She also enjoyed gardening, golf, horseback riding, crossword puzzles, old movies, jazz, playing the piano, family birthdays and baking. She was an avid reader, loved entertaining, especially family parties. She enjoyed international travel and playing trivia, she always loved learning, especially history. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; and daughter Pamela. She is survived by her sister Marilyn; four children, Donald, Richard, Patricia, and Robert; and several nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
