Jeremiah RUSSELL

RUSSELL, Jeremiah "Jerry" Passed away October 11, 2025. He was 77. Jerry was raised in Dorchester and lived in Easton and Quincy throughout his life before settling in Bridgewater. He proudly served in the US Army and went on to have a successful career as a teacher, starting at Dorchester High School and retiring from Boston Latin Academy over 35 years later. During his career he also taught at UMASS Boston part-time. As the beloved neighborhood "go to" guy, Jerry could often be found taking on projects for friends, giving advice or fixing small technology issues. He enjoyed biking and was known for always having a coffee in his hands. He will be deeply missed.

Beloved companion of Gail Cooper of Bridgewater. Husband of the late Ruthann Kelley-Russell and former husband of Julia Russell of Easton. Devoted father of Mark Russell and his wife Jennifer of Taunton. Cherished Grandpa Jerry of Jessica and Matthew Russell of Taunton. Son of the late Robert and Catherine Russell. Loving brother of his twin Frank Russell and his wife Maureen Gannon of VT, Jim Russell and his wife Carol of FL, Tom Russell and his wife Ting Xu of Amherst, Mary Russell of NH, the late Bob Russell and his widow Dolores and the late John Russell and his widow Marcia. Brother-in-law of Cathy Russell. Also blessed with multiple generations of nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday, October 19, from 12-2 PM at Chapman Funerals and Cremations, 98 Bedford Street, Bridgewater.
