I am sorry to be so late acknowledging Jim's passing but I just learned of Jim"s death Yesterday. I had the privilege of being a board member with Jim on the Clough Global funds where he was President. He was an excellent leader and a pleasure to be around. He will be missed for many reasons

Jim was so fun and kind, I remember he helped my then fiance Peter move from one apartment to another and ended up doing the lion's share of the work because of an accident Peter had. Peter always enjoyed playing ice hockey with him and hanging out after the games when we lived in Belmont. When Kristin and Jim were engaged we spent many weekends going out in Boston and tailgating at BC. Lots and lots of laughter. Peter, the kids and I were lucky to see him last summer after visiting the farm, will always remember his gentle voice and his sweet laugh. Lots of love and prayers to you all.

Dear Kristin and Family:

While I know that your hearts are broken, we--the Bonaventure community and the Class of 1984--wish to affirm at this time what you already know. Jim was a spectacular human being who embraced his family, his beloved alma mater, his classmates and "friends for life." Bonaventure has lost one of it's finest. He represented us well as an alumnus and later as a Trustee.

I know that Jim will be looking down on Monday, embarrassed by the accolades and praise for his character and kindness. But, I know he will appreciate the expressions of love that are well-deserved.

Pax et Bonum, Jim, and Rest in Peace, Fallen Bonnie.

We were so very sorry to hear of Jim's illness and passing. My family and I send love, peace and hope to his whole family. Seeing his picture here reminds me of all the fun I had babysitting the Cantys way back when in Schenectady....he still has an impish twinkle in this photo. Jim absolutely loved playing " court "... playing the lawyer role... he was so eager and interested even at that young age to learn, to just be a part of it all. May he rest in peace in God's tender care XOXOXO

It seems like only yesterday that I was sitting with Jim at the Bonaventure Board meeting on campus. We had a great conversation about how much was happening at Bonas and how well the Bonnies would be this past season. Thank you Jim for all you did for Bonas . You will be missed terribly and so hard to replace your love and dedication to Bonas. Rest In Peace Jim.

Dear Kristin, Brendan, Caitlin, Charlie and Maggie: Jim was a great friend to me. Even though we never met as freshmen, we later became friends at SBU after my introduction by Tim Burns and Rob Leahy. From afar, I recognized in him a keen talent for acceptance. I believe Jim never disliked or judged anyone he met. I will forever remember his smile, his inherent kindness, and Jim's incredible talent to like everyone he met. I am incredibly sorry and want to say more but I can't. God Bless.
