Jim RISOTTI Obituary

RISOTTI, Jim Of North Reading, MA, formerly of Marlborough, MA, passed away February 23, 2024 after a vigorous life, but also a long battle with heart disease. He was treated at MGH Aortic Thoracic Center for years, where they helped to maintain his health and quality of life. His recent care at MGH was on Blake 8, where he was treated by outstanding physicians, nurses and support staff.

Jim leaves behind his beloved wife of 51 years, Deb Risotti; and his son, of whom he was most proud, Dan Risotti and his wife, Stef. He was a devoted and loving father to his daughter, Sarah, who passed away in 2006. Jim loved and cherished his time with his beautiful grandchildren, Gino and Domenic. Jimmy was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle. He also leaves behind his siblings, Kathy Tate and her husband, Bill, Albert Risotti his wife, Margie, Steve Risotti his wife, Shawna, Maryellen Butt and her husband, Greg, and Paul Risotti and his wife, Amy; and cousins; nieces; and nephews.

Jim graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He was a member of the Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity where he made lifelong friends, his brothers. Jim went on to earn 3 master's degrees and later, was a professor of business at Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA. Jim worked for General Electric as a Quality Control Manager in jet engines, a career that took him all over the world.

Jim loved to golf with his high school gang and ski with the silver streakers in Waterville, NH. He loved coaching his son, Danny, in hockey and taught many classes at Perkins School for the Blind, teaching families how to make their own augmentative communication devices. Jim also loved to travel. Jim was a giver and taught us all how to live. He will be sorely missed.
