Joan was a very good neighbor and will be missed here where she lived in Salem. I was very sorry to hear this sad news of Joan and send my condolences to her family.

Dear Lori and Michael, so so sorry about your mom. She was a unique woman and I always enjoyed being around her. I remember 30 years ago when I was 20 she and I spent a few months going to 'Diet Workshop' together to trim down. We had so much fun. It was a great opportunity for us to get to know each other and we stayed fond of each other ever since.

Joan was a lovely and kind individual who welcomed me so warmly into the family a few years ago. She seemed genuinely excited to get to know me and I feel honored to have gotten to share special memories with her. I know how much her family meant to her and she will truly be missed by them all.

Lori, Michael, Richard and Alex,
I am so sorry for your loss. We have known each other for over 35 yrs. and shared many stories. Joan loved to talk about her visits with Michael, her times with Lori and Richard and most recently "The Life of Alex". Everyone at the hair salon will miss hearing her adventures. I will truly miss her. Lori contact me please.

I worked with Joan, she a more dedicated worked than I. Her positive attitude and caring about others who passed through her life you could not help but applaud. And to Michael and to Lori and her family remember those that you love will ALWAYS live in your heart, thoughts and actions.

I am truly saddened by the loss of Joan. She was a friend and co-worker for over 18 years. No one could match Joan's intelligence, humor and dedication to her family and her work. Joan was 'one of a kind' and it was an honor knowing her.

Joan will be dearly missed. She was such a unique, talented and lively woman who I was so looking forward to getting closer to. I feel very blessed to have known her for the time that I did. My precious grandmother said that she will live on in her children and grandchildren. I know that Joan will live on in Alex and future generations. Her paintings that remain will be a testimony to her wonderful eye and passionate spirit.
