Dear Family,
I am so sorry to learn of Joan's death after her long and valiant struggle. What a great lady she was! It's obvious how loved she was by her children and their families. It was obvious how much she, in turn, loved each and every one of you.
May the wonderful memories you have of family gatherings sustain you in your sadness and bring you joy in the remembering.
Mike, Rob, and I are so sorry that our long-standing plans keep us from expressing our sorrow in person but please know that all of you in our thoughts. Peace.
Ellen
