SHAW, Joan 64, of Peabody and Newton, NH, passed away on Jan. 26. Born and raised in Peabody and graduate of Salem State College in 1976. She worked for Philips Medical and previously for General Electric. Joan was a loving and caring woman that enjoyed sports, traveling and quality time spent with family and many friends. Her positive attitude and huge beautiful smile were contagious and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Survived by her loving wife Therese S. (Taffy) Jervey of Newton, NH; siblings John "Jack" Shaw, III and wife Sharen of No. Andover and Janet Smith and husband Ron of RI; countless nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers in-law and cousins. Joan was predeceased by her parents John Shaw, Jr. and Ruth Shaw. Visiting hours will be held on Sun., Jan. 29, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, HAVERHILL from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Celebration of Life will be Sat., Feb. 11 at 1:00 PM in the Universalist Unitarian Church of Haverhill, 15 Kenoza Ave., Haverhill. For the Celebration of Life, please wear your Hawaiian shirts or bright colors.
