Joanne Smith Obituary

67, of Hanson died Saturday in the Beth Israel/Deaconess Hospital in Boston after a long illness. She was born in Boston on Jan. 13, 1940, the daughter of the late George F. and Edna M. (Lloyd) Kehoe. She was raised and educated in Dorchester and was a graduate of Nazareth High School in South Boston. Mrs. Smith lived in Hanover for over 25 years before moving to Hanson 9 years ago and was also a summer resident of Falmouth for many years. Until her retirement, she was employed as a Field Representative for the US Census Bureau. She is survived by 2 Sons: David B. Smith of Hanover and Mark R. Smith of Braintree; 2 Sisters: Lorraine K. McCabe of Augusta, ME and Geraldine K. Benedict of Canton; 6 Grandchildren: Erin, Brendan, Molly, Sean, Corey and Ryan and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was the wife of the late Richard B. Smith. The Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday at 10AM in St. Mary Of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St., Rte. 139 in Hanover. Interment will be at a later date in Old Calvary Cemetery in Boston. Visiting Hours are on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington st., Rte. 53, in HANOVER. In lieu of Flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Box 9376, Framingham, MA 01701-9376 OR to the Richard T.
