John you are always loved and missed more than anyone could imagine. Just found a very special cd that has your voice and story on it, what a treasure. I think the cd really found me. Shared it with those who love you. I can only imagine you and Charlie holding court in heaven and watching over all those you love. You are still Rock Stars here on earth and you always will be. Love Forever, Paula

Warm summer sun,
Shine kindly here,
Warm southern wind,
Blow softly here.
Green sod above,
Lie light, lie light.
Good night, dear heart,
Good night, good night.

We love and miss you John. Five years...it's a long time and yesterday all at once. You surely were an example of a life "well lived". I still hear people speaking of you and how you 'saved their lives'. Like the poem, The Dash, you surely did so many wonderful things helping people while you were here on this planet and that legacy lives on forever. Please continue to watch over us and guide us through this journey. You are always loved and forever missed.

John. Your obituary just popped up on my phone. I'm sitting outside a meeting thinking of how good you were to me and countless others. I think of you often. You are mentioned many times in our conversations at meetings. If it wasn't for guys like you I wouldn't have the life I have today. Danny O'Neil and I always speak of you when we see each other. Your legacy lives on pal. Love and miss you.

My Dear Love,

Thank you for the beautiful trip to Santa Barbara and for insisting that I book it before your journey to God, you must have had a knowing that our time was coming to an end. I spent a very special week with Martine, John and our girls, you were with us in every moment of laughter and tears. We went to all of "our" favorite places. We are planning our next time together already. We are blessed with amazing family and friends. Thank you for the most fabulous memories and deepest love.

Forever Love,
Paula

Thank you John....
Friends can help each other.  A true friend is someone who lets you total freedom to be yourself - and especially to feel.  Or not feel.  Whatever you happen to be feeling at the moment is fine with them. That's what true love amounts to - letting a person be who he really is.

I felt an angel

I felt an angel near today, though one I could not see
I felt an angel oh so close, sent to comfort me
I felt an angel's kiss, soft upon my cheek
And oh, without a single word of caring did it speak
I felt an angel's loving touch, soft upon my heart
And with that touch, I felt the pain and hurt within depart
I felt an angel's tepid tears, fall softly next to mine
And knew that as those tears did dry a new day would be mine
I felt an angel's silken wings enfold me with pure love
And felt a strength within me grow, a strength sent from above
I felt an angel oh so close, though one I could not see
I felt an angel near today, sent to comfort me.

John....I will always remember the last time we saw each other. It was at the BI in Boston. We sat next to each other in the doctors office and looked at one another and said.....we've had a good run. A very good run. Through the Grace of God. I never met a guy that reached his hand out more to help than you. I will treasure the conversations we had. And I will never forget you. God bless pal.

"Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness, and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of reward. Your life will never be the same again."

To a man who exemplified this quote. Live in the light.
