We love and miss you John. Five years...it's a long time and yesterday all at once. You surely were an example of a life "well lived". I still hear people speaking of you and how you 'saved their lives'. Like the poem, The Dash, you surely did so many wonderful things helping people while you were here on this planet and that legacy lives on forever. John. Your obituary just popped up on my phone. I'm sitting outside a meeting thinking of how good you were to me and countless others. I think of you often. You are mentioned many times in our conversations at meetings. If it wasn't for guys like you I wouldn't have the life I have today. Danny O'Neil and I always speak of you when we see each other. My Dear Love,
Thank you for the beautiful trip to Santa Barbara and for insisting that I book it before your journey to God, you must have had a knowing that our time was coming to an end. I spent a very special week with Martine, John and our girls, you were with us in every moment of laughter and tears. We went to all of "our" favorite places. We are planning our next time together already. We are blessed with amazing family and friends. Thank you for the most fabulous memories and deepest love.

John....I will always remember the last time we saw each other. It was at the BI in Boston. We sat next to each other in the doctors office and looked at one another and said.....we've had a good run. A very good run. Through the Grace of God. I never met a guy that reached his hand out more to help than you. I will treasure the conversations we had. And I will never forget you. God bless pal.
