John BRADLEY Obituary

BRADLEY, John E. With heavy hearts we announce the death of John E. Bradley, 88, of Boston, MA, who passed away on February 23, 2024. John grew up in Dorchester, MA, the son of Lillian Lomasney Bradley and John F. Bradley and went on to graduate from Stonehill College and Georgetown Law School. From a very early age, John worked while going to school and played sports, including when he went to law school working nights as a Capital Police Officer in the House of Representatives in Washington, DC. With his roots in Boston, he was a proud distinguished member of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company of Massachusetts and served as Captain from 2007 to 2008. John was a founding partner of the law firm Bradley, Barry and Tarlow, PC, headquartered in Boston and remained devoted as an active board member of the Dorchester Boys and Girls Club, to name one of many organizations he supported and served on as a board member. His love of the law was only surpassed by his love of teaching business law at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) as well as sailing on his Rhiannon and the many adventures hosting friends in ports from Newport to Marblehead. John will be remembered as a gentleman of quick wit, voracious reader. generous kindness and fierce loyalty in negotiating on behalf of his clients. John was the beloved husband to Mini, whom he met some thirty-three years ago and married in 1999; and is also survived by his two sons and five grandchildren, for whom he was so very proud and loved dearly. He is also sadly missed by his devoted sidekick, Tug. Relatives and friends are invited to attend John's Funeral Mass on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 10 A.M., in St. Joseph's Church, 68 William Cardinal O'Connell Way, Boston. Mini will be receiving guests prior to the Mass, beginning at 9 A.M. His Burial is private. There are no funeral home visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, kindly make a memorial donation in John's name to The Marr Boys & Girls Club of Dorchester, 35 Deer St., Dorchester, MA 02125. John was a great friend of my Dad's and lived next door to us in Cohasset. I will always remember how kind he was to the 10 fox kids who lived next door!

I'm a long time neighbor of John and his wife Mini alongside my mom, very gracious guy if not one of the best neighbors in my 20+ years of knowing in the building. John always would say hi everytime I see him just like I did on February 16th which would be sadly the last time. Tug is also an adorable dog. My condolences to the family and to his wife Mini. The West End Place will be surely missed by his presence.

Our sincere condolences to John´s family. He will be sorely missed by all of us, especially the Ancient´s. His wit and candor were always a bright light in my day when he came in for an eye exam! His loss will not be forgotten. Mark Latina, M.D.

I will miss John's wit and wry sense of humor. I experienced these attirbutes nightly during his walks with his beloved Tug in front of our West End building.
