Dear Grampy,

Now that we have said our "see ya laters" I wanted to say thank you to everyone for their kind words and for attending this weekends ceremonies. I was overwhelmed to see how loved my grandfather was by not only our huge family but by his fellow brothers in arms and many many friends.

I will alway remember the day my Grampy told me he was proud of me, once of the best days of my life. I know that he is smiling down, drinking a beer and happy to know his legacy will live on his in kids, grandkids and great grandkids.

I will love you always <3 Jenelleee

Mrs Burke,
I was so sorry to hear the sad news that Jake had passed away. I worked in the Detective Bureau with Jake from 1980 till he retired in 1988. Jake was an extremely proud member of the Brookline Police and a roll model for me and Paul Kelliher. I still remember Jake sitting at the corner desk in the bureau with his tweed sport coat and tie. (Only Monday thru Friday). Weekends he looked like Arnold Palmer. It was an honor to have worked with Jake and the entire Burke family should be honored by his life.
