JOHN D. "JACK" CANN

CANN, John D. "Jack" Of Plymouth, who would have been 92 in February, and lived in his hometown of Norwell for 65 of those years, passed away peacefully on New Year's Day, surrounded by the love of his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Verna (Hahner); and by their son, Tom, who passed away in 2018, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. He leaves daughters, Debra Cumming of Bourne, Brenda Hosford of Carver, and Linda Wiggin of Marshfield. Visiting Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home at 30 Central St. in NORWELL. A Service in Celebration of his Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, in St. Andrew's Church at 17 Church St. in Hanover. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Jack, in honor of his son, Tom, to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, 111 W 33rd St., New York, NY 10001.
