64 years, of Lynn, formerly of Charlestown, October 25, 2003. Beloved husband of Rita C. (Alves) Dunbar. Devoted father of Patti Leone-Young & her husband Michael of No. Reading, John J. Dunbar Jr. & his wife Jill of So. Weymouth, Joseph B. Dunbar & his wife Virginia of Beverly & Kara M. Dunbar of Lynn. Loving grandfather of 9 grandchildren. Brother of Margaret "Peggy" O'Neil & her husband Bill of Charlestown & Sally Robinson of Saugus. Son-in-law of Rita E. (Hickey) Alves of Everett. Nephew of Josephine Ferguson of Charlestown. Also survived by many nieces, nephews & cousins. Funeral Service in The Frank H. Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St., CHARLESTOWN on Wednesday at 10 AM. Relatives & friends are invited. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Interment Puritan Lawn Memorial Park Peabody. In lieu of flowers kindly make memorial donations in John's name to The Ronald McDonald House 229 Kent St. Brookline, Mass. 02446. Parking area adjacent to funeral home.
