GADDIS, John J. Jr. In Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, March 10, 2011 circumed to his long brave battle with his extended illness. Beloved husband of Kathleen M. (O'Keeffe) Gaddis. Devoted father of Taryn O'Keeffe and Shannon Gaddis, both of Quincy. Loving papa to Dylan Michael Douglas. Brother of Maureen Gaddis Hutchinson and her husband James of Shrewsbury. Uncle of Jennifer Hutchinson of Shrewsbury and James M. Hutchinson of Richmond, VA. John had achieved many life fulfilling goals during his time spent here. His biggest of them all being an inspiration and positive role model for his family for who he devoted his time to. He was truly a man of all trades and his older hobby's included many first place prizes and recognition for his love of cars and rebuilding them. We knew John briefly, mainly from watching him fix cars outside your home (always envied him for this talent and was hoping when he got better he could show me some of his trade:) but from the little time we got to know him we know how much he loved his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Kathleen, Taryn, Shannon, and Dylan and all of your loved ones.
