John James Hackett

92, died Feb. 12, 2006 in Wakefield, MA. Born Feb. 3, 1914 in Providence, RI, son of John Trainor and Rose (Shevlan) Hackett. WWII US Navy Veteran-Res. of Lynnfield MA over 30 yrs. Mr. Hackett was chef & Rest. owner in Ipswich, MA called Jack Hacketts Lakeside 1957-1974. Early 1960's, John designed and opened the N.E. Oyster Bar Rest-Lynnfield, MA. Late 1960's, Mr. Hackett opened the Harp & Bard Pubs Rest-Danvers, MA. In his semi-retirement, John opened diff branch of Jack Hacketts Lakeside in Salisbury, MA for which they ran for several years. Survived by 3 dghts, Catherine Hackett of Epping NH, Tracy Smith of Newburyport MA, and Joanne Picard of Pelham NH, 4 sons, John T. Hackett of Lebanon ME, Paul Hackett of Gilford NH, Michael Hackett of Epping NH and Robert Hackett of Salisbury MA, several grands and great-grands, 1 sister, Gladys Quinn of RI, several nieces & nephews.
