Claire Hackett, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away on February 2,

2026, at the age of 87, with her loving husband and family by her side.

Claire was born on August 10, 1938, in Philadelphia and later moved to the Red

Bank/Shrewsbury area of Central New Jersey, where she grew up alongside her twin brother,

Paul. She attended St. James Grade School and High School and went on to attend James

Madison University in Virginia. After graduation, she worked as a dietician at Princeton Hospital

in New Jersey, and in 1967 she married her husband, Bob, later moving to Miami, Florida, in

1968. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family, especially her children, whom she raised

with unwavering care, patience, and kindness. Being a mother was her greatest joy, and her

home was always a place of warmth, comfort, and welcome.

In her later years, Claire faced Parkinson's Disease with remarkable courage and grace. Despite

the challenges it brought, she inspired everyone around her with her perseverance and strength.

Her family is deeply grateful to the caregivers and medical professionals who supported her

with compassion and respect.

Claire was preceded in death by her daughter, Patti; her twin brother, Paul Fredericks; and her

parents, Paul and Helen Fredericks. She is survived by her beloved husband, Bob; her loving

children Robert (Michael), Greg, Todd, Brian (Cherish), Jill (Aaron), and Jennifer (Chad); her

cherished grandchildren Michelle, Stephen, Jackson, Nicholas, Reece, Brady, Kendall, Kevin,

and Zac; her great-grandchildren Caleb and Parker; as well as many extended family members

and friends who will cherish her memory always.

We will honor Claire's life with a Funeral Mass on Friday, February 13th at 10:30 a.m. at Holy

Rosary – St. Richard Church (7500 SW 152nd Street, Palmetto Bay, FL 33157), immediately

followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her

memory to the Parkinson's Support Group she belonged to and benefitted greatly from:
