So sad to hear of John's passing. We have very fond memories of Hal and his wonderful smile, boundless optimism and terrible jokes that he brought to everyone who knew him. Impossible to remember him without smiling. A lovely, lovely man.
Heartfelt condolences to Judy, Sean and Barb, Mark, Sue and family.

John and I went to the John Winthrop School and followed to Boston Latin and further to Boston College. He was "Higgy" and he knew me as my family called me "Billy" as we came from St. Paul´s parish. We were very good friends during those years and after gravitating together at all the reunions. We even ran into each other in St Martin when he and Judy went to the same restaurant in Marigot. He was quick-witted smart and funny. He will be missed greatly and my condolences to the whole family

Oh Judy how sad we all were when we got the word that John had passed. My heart breaks for you and I hope all of the happy memories you have will in time bring some comfort. John was nothing short of a gentleman and we all loved him. He was always so interested in what my boys were doing and would always quiz them about what they were at in life when we visited in the summers and when the kids no longer came with us he still would ask about them and we loved him for the interest he always had in them . I´m so glad you both came to visit our home here in Ireland and Billy is beyond proud that he was able take John to see his cousin and John always reminded us how special a time that was for him and we are just so grateful we could make it happen. The photo I´m posting is of the time I took Jason to America to celebrate his 30th birthday. You both so willingly made time for him and again John chatted to Jason with such love and attention and that meant so much to him. Know that we are thinking of you and will be for the days and weeks ahead. We love you... love Myra Billy Jason and Zachary Browne, Lackaghbeg, Co. Galway . Ireland
