I remember John as a bright friendly guy with a dry sense of humour. Think he came from Trinity College private school in Port Hope, ON. Also recall his late Dad, Ken, a Saskatchewan down to earth man who ran Humble Oil.
John is widely missed by all those fortunate enough to have known him.

John played an important part in my life at Queen's.
I was pleased but not surprised,to learn that John remained true to his values he demonstrated then.
John's death came as a shock and illustrates the importance of staying in touch with those who are significant.
Sincere condolences to Anita and her family and to John's sister.

Dear Anita and family,
The following members of John's Commerce 63 class wish to express their condolences to you on the passing of your husband and father. We had been out of touch for a very long time, but recently we reconnected over plans for a reunion dinner in October. We were looking forward to being with him again, and we know, he with us.

As a classmate of John's I was very sorry to learn of his recent passing away. I recall John as being such a bright logical guy with a dry sense of humour.
He will be widely missed by all who knew him. How I wish we had kept in touch more recently; was looking forward to seeing him again.
Sincere condolences to John's wife, Anita and his family.

My husband Rian, also a friend of Bill W... was a friend of John's from Brookline ... sadly we also lost Rian this year in May... two incredibly helpful and wonderful presences in the halls. I am so moved by this beautiful and personal obituary by his family. He obviously lived a big and beautiful life with his loved ones and his ever widening circle of family will carry on his giving and kind nature. As a recent widow, I am so sorry for your loss. If you ever need to talk, I'm at [email protected] ... so sorry for the loss of John for his loved ones, his friends and family, and for all the lives touched by him.

Though we've been living in North Carolina for several years, John was still a vital part of our network - his strong presence, his dry humor, and his caring ways made indelible memories. We were so very saddened to learn of his passing.
We want to thank his family for sharing him with Bill W's family - he was a gift and we will miss him too.

I am shocked and saddened by John's passing. He truly was one of my all-time favorite people. I was fortunate to have spent time a lot of time with him helping others. No one was more sympathetic or supportive during rough times. He was a strong power of example to us all. I loved him very much.

Yes he was a kind man and always thought of others first before himself. He was always there for me and will be deeply missed by all in the fellowship.
My prayers go out to Anita and family,
