Dear Mrs. Lapsley,
I heard of Coach Lapsley's passing while I was in Idaho. I'm sorry I couldn't make it back for the funeral. He was a mentor and a great friend. I owe him so much for all he did for me in high school, college, and later on in life. He was a kind, gentle, and loyal man. I enjoyed being a player on his "gas house gang" baseball team. But most of all just being his friend. We will miss him very much. My deepest sympathies to you and your family.

Dottie and Chrissy and Mrs. Lapsley, I am heart broken to hear the sad news-your Dad was always "the best Dad" growing up. He always had a big smile on his face and always wanted to talk to me about nursing school, my job, my family-he really took an interest in my life and I have always loved him for that. He was like a father to me and my family and all of the Donovans. As I look back, those times on Rebecca Road were the best times of my life. Dottie and Chris, we will be friends forever and I love you both- I will always cherish the memories of being with your Dad. I am so sad but now he is with God and Jesus and his beloved daughter Sophia-Mauraox
