Dr. Meade was my dentist for over 40 years. He was such a kind, gentle man. I'll always miss him saying "beautiful teeth, just beautiful". I missed seeing him in the office. My thoughts are with his family.

John was a wonderful man, a loving and gentle man, an active and nurturing man. As his direct next door neighbor in Winchester, I remember them moving in next door when they sold their place on Rangeley. It was great watching the family grow. So many nice chats over the years and over the fence with a gate I put in just so we could more easily get together. He and Sue watched our kids grow and were always so welcoming and helpful. He used to remind me he was a chimney sweep for a while so he could help me on home repairs that needed a ladder...I never took him up on it! But, all the times of watching him pack the car for tennis or golf or hockey or with medical supplies for Haiti. In helping him I can tell you those bags were heavy! What an amazing example of goodness! He will be greatly remembered and sorely missed.

Dr. Meade was my dentist when I was a child growing up in Medford MA. He was such a kind and gentle man and I had some traumatic stuff going on that he really helped me with a great deal. I was really grateful for him and his care. I was saddened to hear of his passing but I have such fond memories of him growing up. He really meant a lot to me. Love to his family at this time and know that he meant a lot to his patients.

Dr. Meade was my dentist from the time I first had teeth...and I am now 62! He was always kind, soft-spoken, loved to laugh and enjoyed a good joke! Needless to say, his skills as a dentist were unmatched. I used to brag to my friends that my dentist was still practicing in his mid-eighties, albeit part-time, and that he was playing no-check hockey at least into his seventies; they'd be amazed to hear that! I am sure that the dental students he taught learned a lot from him! I last saw him about a year or so ago when I was in for a cleaning.
Dr. Meade was a fine man in every way, and I am saddened to hear of his passing. "Well done, good and faithful servant!"

Dr. John Meade was a family, a friend, and a mentor to me. He was the greatest clinician, gentleman and an athlete. I have learnt an immense amount about dentistry, humanity and social interactions from Dr. Meade. He made everyone he came in contact with feel important- Dr. Meade was a gentle, caring soul. He generously and selflessly donated his time and great effort to Tufts students and to the patients at his office and in undeserved Haiti for over 50 years. He equally enjoyed spending his free time on tennis and squash courts, skiing and on hockey rinks- full of life and with a great sense of humor. We had a lot of great laughs. He will be missed. My deepest condolences to the Meade family.
Dr. Boris Bacanurschi.
