JOHN F. PAINO

1925 - 2015

Paino, John F. 90, of Boca Raton, FL and North Falmouth, MA, formerly of Lincoln, MA, died Friday, September 18th at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston surrounded by family. He was the beloved husband for 60 years of the late Dolores M. Paino who died in 2009. Born in Waltham, MA on April 30, 1925 he was the son of the late Angelo and Mary Paino. During World War II, he served in the United States Marine Corps in the Pacific Theatre, stationed in the Guadalcanal and Guam. Mr. Paino was the Founder and President of Paino Associates and Northgate Development in Waltham, which became the fourth largest construction and development company in New England during its growth years. An avid golfer, he was a longtime member of the Nashawtuc Country Club in Concord where he served on the Board of Directors. He also cherished time with family and friends as a member of the Willowbend Country Club in Mashpee, Via Mizner, and the Boca Raton Hotel and Club in Boca Raton, FL. He was also a boating enthusiast. Mr. Paino will be remembered as an intuitive and intelligent man who touched countless lives with his generosity. He served on the Board of Directors of Bentley College and was a devoted supporter of the Stigmatine Fathers in Waltham, along with numerous charities. His spirit will live on profoundly in those he loved and supported. He was a devoted father to his children, John F. Paino of Concord, Judith A. Swanson of Concord, Elissa P. Sargent of Concord, and Dolores P. Martin of Weston, and a loving grandfather to Julia Paino, Laura and Leah Swanson, Jacqueline and Christina Sargent, and Lauren, Matthew, and Tyler Martin. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 2nd at 11:30 am in the First Parish Unitarian Church, 20 Lexington Road, Concord Center. At the conclusion of the service, representatives of the United States Marine Corps will present military honors. A luncheon reception will be held immediately following at Nashawtuc Country Club, 1861 Sudbury Road, Concord, MA. All are welcome in support and celebration of his life. Concord's Town Flag will fly at half-staff on Friday, October 2nd in recognition of Mr. Paino's service to his country during World War II.
