I was sad to learn of Jack´s passing. I have known Jack for over fifty years beginning with our days at Polaroid. We attended night school at Northeastern together , played hockey and softball and worked together frequently. He was also the glue that kept a bunch of Polaroid old timers together for periodic pizza and reminiscing.
My deepest sympathies to his children and grandchildren.
He will be truly missed.

Three years of football at the West under Coach Ed Mahoney and another three years at AHS under Eddie Burns gave me an insight to Jack as a person and team mate. He was a leader by example and you followed his lead without question. Over the years we have kept in touch along with Tony and Ralph. All took different paths in life but all had that special bond from time spent banging heads and winning a few. Comradery was that bond that kept us close.
My heart goes out to his family and I offer my sincere condolences. The bench is thinning out for that team of AHS 61 but the memories never fade.
Radish, give Ralph, Ross, Charlie and all who donned the pads as team mates a heart felt Hey from Hago.
Rest in Peace my friend.

Jack and I led the Caregiver Support Group together at the Arlington Council on Aging. Jack's care for his beloved wife, Theresa, for many years was truly remarkable. Members of our group very much appreciated Jack's sincerity, compassion, and wisdom. Jack will be very much missed.

Jack was one of the most decent, kindest men I have ever known.
It was a privilege to work with him as a colleague at Polaroid.
May he rest in peace, as he so well deserves.

I started volunteering for Arlington EATS to originally get my hours for the graduation requirement and that is where I met Jack. Originally, I was afraid to go in to do my shift as I didn't really know anyone and everything seemed foreign. However, it became easier as Jack was such a kind person who was always there and said hello whenever I came in. Though it wasn't much, I ended up volunteering every single Monday at 9 A.M. even though I am instinctively lazy. Hearing such sad news was a devastating blow for me and my brother, who were saddened by the loss of such a kind soul.

I met Jack just before Thanksgiving in 2018 through the Council on Aging and he was a beloved volunteer of ours ever since. Such a wonderful person with a huge heart and a passion for giving back to the community. It was wonderful to see him each Thanksgiving morning with his grandsons when they picked up Turkey Dinners to deliver to others in town for the holiday. Deepest sympathies to all the family and friends of Jack.

Jack and I volunteered at Arlington EATS together every Monday for the past 4 years. He often told me that it was extremely important for him to stay active in the community and help others (as we lifted 50lb sacks of potatoes!). He was a positive light with a genuine spirit and touched everyone he met. He will be deeply missed.

Jack personified kindness, honesty and respect for others. I worked with him for about 25 years at Polaroid Corporation and also attended many of his Polaroid get togethers over the past 20 years at the Chateau in Waltham. He was CLASS personified. May his memory be eternal. Nick Anastos
