So, so sorry to learn of John's passing. Even he was astonished at the number of times I would see him at Stop & Shop each week. He was a terrible tease and a practiced flirt, and he always made me laugh. Prayers for peace for John and the Strileckis family.

My husband and I would see John whenever we shopped at Stop & Shop in Saugus. He was the kindest soul anyone would ever want to meet. He was always so pleasant, caring and thoughtful. We would purposely go into his aisle so that my husband could chat with him, which definitely made my husband's day a little bit better, and we truly hope it made an impact on his day as well. He was the definition of a fine young man. He will be missed. God has a very special angel with him now. Rest In Peace John.

It is with a heavy heart that I express my deepest sympathies to the Strileckis family on the passing of John. Everyone growing up in Melrose knew John, and if you didn't you were going to get to know him rather quickly. Tremendous, outgoing person and a friend to all. An avid sports fan, especially of his brothers. John will be missed but not forgotten. God Bless.

Our deepest condolences go out to the Strileckis Family on the passing of John. I did not know him very well except for seeing and speaking to him at Stop & Shop. He was a delightful person who always had that wonderful and bright smile whenever he was bagging my groceries. Someone else had noted that no matter how frustrated you were in line to be checked out - he would greet you with that smile that just seemed to make you feel good again - and I fully agree with that comment. Needless to say, John was someone who had an impact on so many people in every activity he was involved with. The world has lost another special soul to heaven above - may they rejoice on his return to his heavenly reward!

John was a valued Bridge school volunteer, and I am deeply saddened to hear this news. I worked with him at the Lincoln School for the past three years. He made tens of thousands of copies at the Lincoln School each year. He was very proud of his contributions at the Lincoln School and the teachers were appreciative. Working with John during the school year was the highlight of my work week. My sincerest condolences to his family, he will be missed by the Melrose community.

Johnny was a volunteer at Lincoln School in Melrose, through The Bridge program. He came every Wednesday to help all the teachers and staff members make many copies of papers for our work. He was friendly, kind and had a great sense of humor. It is hard to believe he is gone. Wednesdays will never be the same. My condolences to his family and friends.
