BOYLE, Joseph P. Of Beverly passed away at Masconomet Healthcare Center in Topsfield, Massachusetts on March 30, 2016, at the age of 81. Born in Peabody, Massachusetts on December 26,1934, Joe is the son of the late Daniel J. Boyle and Johanna (Mannix) Boyle. He is a proud alumnus of Saint John's Preparatory School, graduating in 1952. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the College of the Holy Cross in 1956 and his Master of Business Administration from Boston University in 1969. Joe, a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), spent his professional life in the banking industry starting out as an oil analyst. A shift to managing large trust portfolios for several large Boston banks earned him high praise from his customers. He wrapped up his successful career in trust portfolio management by serving in his most rewarding professional position at Beverly National Bank retiring from his hometown bank in 2002. Joe is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 49 years, Jolyne (Fournier) Boyle. He is the beloved father of Daniel J. Boyle and his wife, Erin, of Beverly, Massachusetts, Johanna Boyle Robinson and her husband, Brian, of Washington, DC and Gerard M. Boyle and his wife, Siobhan Hennessy, of New York, NY. A proud grandfather, "Pa" is remembered with great affection and admiration by his seven grandchildren – Adrianna, "Addie" (13), Emma (11), Michael (10), Caitlin (8), Timothy (8), Matthew (7) and Aoibhin (5). He is also survived by his brothers John "Jack" F. Boyle of Newtown, PA and Brother James M. Boyle, C.F.X. of Middletown, CT, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his older brother Daniel J. Boyle, Jr. Joe was a parishioner at Saint Mary Star of the Sea in Beverly for close to 50 years. He was a faithful and devoted Catholic and champion of Catholic schools, but Saint Mary Star of the Sea School was most special to him. His quick wit, sense of humor, and gift for finding the perfect poem or song to fit any occasion, left a mark on each person who was fortunate enough to make his acquaintance. He was also a member of the Charitable Irish Society. Visiting hours are Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Massachusetts. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly, Massachusetts, followed by interment in Annunciation Cemetery in Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
