Joseph Cara Donna Obituary

Age 67, of Port St. Lucie, died on February 14, 2004 at St. Lucie Medical Center. Mr. Cara Donna was born August 12, 1936 in Medford, MA. He came to Florida in 1981 and has been a resident of Port St. Lucie since 1992. Prior to retirement Joe was co-owner of Cara Donna Provision Company in Boston, MA. Joe was an avid golfer and fisherman and enjoyed many wonderful friendships in these activities. He was a member of the PGA Country Club and former member of Indian Hills Country Club & Manatee Marina in Hobe Sound. Joseph proudly served in the United States Navy. Joe is survived by his loving and devoted wife Elaine Cara Donna of Port St. Lucie; daughter Diane Carey of Hanover, MA, son Joseph Cara Donna III of Bridgewater, MA., son Chris Cara Donna of Pembroke, MA, and daughter Sandra Bartorelli of Hanson, MA.; 11 grandchildren; brothers Leo Cara Donna of Port St. Lucie, FL & Sebestian Cara Donna of Medford, MA; sister Ann Bezis of Medford, MA.; Joe is predeceased by his father, mother, a sister Rose, and former wife & mother of his children Joan Cara Donna. Friends and family may call on Tuesday February 17 2004 2pm-4pm & 6pm-8pm with a prayer vigil at 7:00pm at Forest Hills Funeral Home, 2001 SW Murphy Road Palm City, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday Feb 18, 2004 11:00am at St. Lucie Catholic Church, 280 SW Prima Vista Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL. A reception will follow at the PGA Country Club at 951 Southwest Country Club Drive, Port St. Lucie. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to America Cancer Society Martin Unit, 865 SE Monterey Commons Blvd Stuart FL 34996
