HAUGHNEY, Joseph F. Retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, of Lynnfield, on February 14, at 79 years. Beloved husband of the late Kerry E. (Collins) Haughney. Loving father of Christine E. Dare–Bryan and husband, Thomas H. of Larchmont, NY, Jonathan J. Haughney of Barre, VT and Gretchen B. Haughney of Arlington. Cherished grandfather of Henry J., Elisabeth A. and James F. Family and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Sunday, February 18, from 2 to 6 p.m., in the Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach St., REVERE. A Funeral will be conducted from the Funeral Home on Monday, February 20, at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church., 758 Salem St., Lynnfield, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held privately at MA National Cemetery, Bourne. During his military career, Joseph worked on some of the military's earliest communication systems, was a project leader on the Autodin network and was network manager for the Arpanet from 1979 through 1981.
