Words cannot express the tremendous loss Joey will be to our family. I saw him a LOT living back here in Winthrop these last few years. Whenever I ran into him, no matter what we were in the middle of doing, whether it was in the store check-out line or seeing him while we were so 'busy' doing errands, etc. It never failed that we would end up talking about the family, how everything/everyone is doing?..etc. I will cherish forever in my heart the times we all spent together, especially when we were kids up the cottage in NH. So many times Joe and I would talk about that, and how much fun we had when he came in to my HS as a freshman, in my junior year. Although he was only there a year, it was great. We had SOOO MUCH fun. Hanging out in the courtyard together. Spending TONS of breakfasts and lunches together and the rest of the fun well, is between Joe and me. Lets just say that years later Joe and I were at some function and he told me he really liked sitting with me at lunch or hanging out with me on days the sports teams had games back when we were in HS that year. When I foolishly asked Why? He said so innocently, 'You all had to wear your cheerleading uniforms that day for the games.' Again, foolishly I said, So what?.' Joe looked at me with a straight face and said 'Well ya know I love ya cous' but you were a cheerleader AND you were always hanging out with most of them!'. I remember spitting out what I was drinking and cracking up so badly that tears were coming out of my eyes. We laughed so hard when he told me that. I STILL laugh so hard when I think of him saying that to me. BECAUSE ITS SO TRUE!!! I remember saying something back to him like 'Oh really thats why YOU sat with ME?'..In true Joe style he said, 'Hey remember you invited me to sit there.' True, I did. We both laughed and laughed. That is Joe. So funny, so sweet, always has something good to say, and without a doubt, a one of a kind. I will miss you forever.

Joe, I feel so lucky to have known you and so sad to have lost you so soon. You were one of the nicest and friendliest people I have ever met. I looked forward to seeing you at work each day and enjoyed our teasing of each other. I know Moxie could not have been in a better home. You truly were too good for this world! I will miss you and I will always be grateful that I got to know you and call you my friend.

I am shocked and so very saddened by the sudden loss of Joey...I've known him and his family for years and my heart goes out to Chris and Greg for all the losses you and your families have had to sustain. Joey was a really nice guy and I for one will miss him immensley. Whenever I saw him, he always had a smile on his face, took time to converse and never had a bad word to say about anything.
In this case the saying is true "only the good die young"
