I recorded back in 1986 in Boston with Joe in his studio. I was hoping to make it big, but I can say I put it out there and I´m still singing the American Songbook bringing joy to those who attend. Sorry I didn´t know you had passed, but I´m sure you had many people you helped to be there for you.
Peace my friend.

He was my piano instructor in 1958-1961. I was 6 years old. Fond memories of him. He came to our home in Newton, Ma. I am a successful pianist/educator and composer today.

My biggest memory is taking singing lessons from Joe ( Mr Saia to me ) as I was 12 or 13 ....I'm 66 now. My dad had a drugstore up the street from AAA recording studios and sent me to see Joe often. I sing professionally ( since age 21). I presently sing in the Myrtle beach area .... can't shake the music business and it started with Joe. He was kind and thoughtful and we got along so well and he has been remembered with so much warmth ever since. Madalyn ( Brown ) Reno. 617 842 8629

I lived in a different section of Dorchester but Joe, Dick Faye and I made pretty good money for kids via music, playing political parties and dances. We rehearsed at his home on Harvest St. and then went on to Boston University where we parted ways, though friendly. Joe was very ambitious and had a flare of performing like Liberace. We had great times, which I could share with a family member. I am very sorry to hear of Joe's passing at such a young age. The photo is how I remember him.
