Judy Bernbaum Obituary

Of El Segundo, California passed away on April 24, 2009 at home with family and friends at her side after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Newark, New Jersey on May 30, 1943 to Walter and Edythe Wichowski. She is survived by Bruce, her husband of 47 years; son, Michael (Lori); daughter, Jennifer; grandchildren, Jasper and Hanna Bernbaum, and a devoted family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, "the cousins", and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Mark. Judy retired from the Inglewood Unified School District in 2007 after 30 years of dedicated service as an instructional assistant. She was the kindest, sweetest, most gentle and loving person we will ever know. Hearts don't get any bigger than Judy's! A Mass and memorial in Judy's honor will be held at Grace Chapel, Inglewood Park Cemetery on April 29, 2009 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Judy's name to: The Union Rescue Mission, 545 S. San Pedro Street, Los Angeles, California 90013 (888) 788-4392.
