JOSEPHINE L. AMBROSE

AMBROSE, Josephine L. (Murphy) Of Needham formerly of Dedham, died Sunday, August 27, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Charles J. Ambrose for 64 years. Devoted mother of Mary L. Ferney and her husband James of Leesburg, VA, Arthur G. Ambrose and his wife Jane of Hanover, Leonard J. Ambrose and his wife Corinne of Raynham, Michelle M. Heater and her husband Russell of Baldwinsville, NY, Michael J. Ambrose and his wife Katherine of Dedham, and the late Charles J. Ambrose and his surviving wife Nancy. Loving grandmother of 13, great-grandmother of 18. Sister of the late Arthur C. Murphy. In prior years Josephine was a member of the Ladies Sodality and the VFW Women's Auxiliary. For many years she proudly served in the Prison Ministry and as Eucharistic Minister for the Homebound. She also volunteered her services at the Perkins School for the Blind. Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., NEEDHAM, Saturday, September 9 at 10:30am followed by a Funeral Mass in Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church, Newton Upper Falls at 11:00am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visitation prior to Mass from 9:00-10:30am. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
