Kathleen Heffernan Obituary

Of Needham, January 9, 2002, Kathleen W. (Walsh). Born February 11, 1900. Beloved wife of the late Roy J. Heffernan, M.D. for 67 years. Loving mother of Roy J. Heffernan, Jr. who died in 1939. She is survived by her sister Edith Walsh Larkin of Weston and by eight children, Joan K. Jacobs of Needham, wife of Albert Jacobs; Margaret "Peg" H. Laughlin of Medfield, wife of the late Robert Laughlin; Sheila A. Clark of Needham; Michael A. Heffernan of Needham, husband of Elizabeth "Betty" Farrell Heffernan; J. Timothy Heffernan of Worcester, husband of the late Marie Considine Heffernan; David W. Heffernan of Sun City Center, Fla, husband of the late Joan Mullen Heffernan; Thomas J. Heffernan of Custer, S.D., husband of Kathryn Heffernan; and James A. W. Heffernan of Hanover, N.H., husband of Nancy Coffey Heffernan. Kathleen is also survived by 33 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave (Exit 19B off Rt 128) NEEDHAM, Saturday at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph's Church, Needham at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Friday 2-6 p.m. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury. Parking area adjacent to funeral home. George F. Doherty and Sons Needham 781-444-0687
