I found myself telling a friend a story about Kathy just the other day! When I was distraught because a much loved cat was in a final decline, she offered to take it to its final vet visit. She could see I was not ready, and stepped up as a true friend. I still miss her and think of her often.

My very deepest sympathy to Kathy's family and many friends. Kathy was the most caring friend, teacher, human being I know. In her unassuming, compassionate, competent manner she was always there - to help, to laugh & cry with, and to be our "voice of reason." She positively affected many lives from the children she taught to the many friends she made. I will forever cherish the many years of personal and professional friendship I was blessed to have with Kathy.

Kathy was like a sunny day after the rain. You were always so happy to see her. She cared deeply for her friends as they did for her. I will miss her greatly. My sympathies to her family. Joan Solomon

I felt so privileged to know Kathy as a friend and colleague during her long teaching career. Her decency, her care for the children she worked with, her energy, and often her wry sense of humor made our work lives richer, fuller, and easier. I was lucky to spend time together, and will miss her always.
