KATHLEEN T. NERBONNE

1929 - 2017

NERBONNE, Kathleen T. (Joyce) Died August 19 in W. Hartford, CT. Born in 1929 to John and Margaret (O'Grady) Joyce of Brockton, Kathy was a proud graduate of St. Patrick's High (1947) and Bridgewater State College (1952). Kathy cherished her years teaching in Catholic schools: St. Edward's (Brockton); Sacred Heart (Weymouth); Holy Name (West Roxbury). She was most proud of: her faith, her Irish heritage, inspiring children to read and treat classmates with respect. She loved get- togethers with family & friends (and Irish music), heart-to-hearts, trips to the beach, helping those in need, the color green. In addition to her beloved parents, Kathy was predeceased by her sisters, Mary McGrath, Rita Diamond and Margaret Joyce. She is survived by her seven children: John Nerbonne (Ellen) of Germany, Jeanne Nerbonne (Andreas Burkhalter) of St. Louis, Mary Nerbonne (Jim Ligas) of West Hartford, Dan Nerbonne (Peggy) of Houston, Michael Nerbonne of Needham, Susan Mahoney of Westborough, Paul Nerbonne (Kasanu Patthanadettrakul) of L.A.; twelve grandchildren: Juleen, Chris, Matt, Andrea, Eamon and Brendan Nerbonne, Nicholas and Doug Horan, Maria Burkhalter, Arty, Maggie and Ian Mahoney; ten great-grandchildren; her devoted sister- and brother-in-law, Mary and David Hern; many nieces, nephews, dear friends, especially John Horan. The family is grateful to Kathy's dedicated caregivers at Hamilton Heights and St. Mary Home. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 8 at Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St., BROCKTON. Procession from the funeral home at 9a.m. to St. Patrick's Church for a 10am Mass. Burial in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery in Bridgewater.
