KEITH GOLDBERG Obituary

GOLDBERG, Keith Allen Software Engineer Keith Allen Goldberg, age 55, of Leominster, Massachusetts, passed away on October 23, 2021, at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. He is the son of Robert Mark Goldberg (deceased) and Diana Marie Leitgeb. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Goldberg; his mother Diana Leitgeb; his siblings Lawrence (Jennifer) Goldberg, Marsha (Steve) Meek, Joshua (Amy) Goldberg, and Walter Leitgeb; his nephew Desmond Lee, and his nieces Abigail Goldberg, Amelia Goldberg, Madelyn Goldberg, Molly Goldberg and Karen Farmer. Keith was born in Queens, New York, raised in Bellows Falls, Vermont, and attended the University of Vermont in Burlington and Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. He was a highly respected software engineer, working with several successful companies including EG&G Dynatrend, Veritas, Courion, Actifio and, most recently, Google. As the saying goes, Keith was always "the smartest person in the room," recognized by his peers and clients as a leader in the industry. Keith was a music lover - an avid fan of David Bowie, Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, Dave Matthews Band, and Rush - and very much enjoyed attending live concerts with his siblings. Keith had a fierce intellect and a wicked sense of humor, which served him (and those around him) well during good times and bad. Keith could always be counted on to lend a hand, and he was an empathetic and generous man who always put the needs of others first. Keith was a loyal and devoted father, brother, son, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was admired and loved by so many who were lucky enough to meet him. Keith was a huge 'Trekkie', and he has now gone on to where 'no man has gone before.' Rest in peace Keith - our home planet will never be the same without you on it. Donations can be made in Keith's memory to the National Kidney Foundation.

So true, smartest guy in the room, but never wore it on his sleeve. I worked with Keith at Iron Mountain. He tried to get me to join Actifio but the time wasn´t right. Keith... You will be missed.

Keith was my nephew but also a life long friend. Keith was at most holiday meals and events we held at our home in Vermont. I will miss him the rest of my life. Rest in your well earned sleep until we meet again.
