KEITH A. HUTCHINS

HUTCHINS, Keith A. Age 75, of Townsend, formerly of Lexington, died on Saturday, July 22, 2023. He was born in Portsmouth, NH, on November 21, 1947, a son of the late Raymond and Inez (Cole) Hutchins. He grew up in Lexington, and graduated from Lexington High School and later UMASS Stockbridge School of Agriculture. Keith served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1971. He was a lifelong farmer, having farmed for several years at Wilson Farms in Lexington before co-founding The Flower Hutch in Townsend. He was a former board member of the Massachusetts Agricultural Club and Massachusetts Horticultural Society. He was a past master of the Simon W. Robinson Lodge of Masons in Lexington and was a tireless advocate for small business and farming. He leaves his wife Harriet (Fox) Hutchins Townsend; a son, Jason Hutchins and his partner, Brandi Carr of Townsend; two brothers, Carldon Hutchins and his wife, Judy of Rindge, NH, and Warren Hutchins and his wife, Mary of Gilford, NH; a sister, Nathalie Bailey and her husband, Jotham of South Orange, NJ; and several nephews, nieces, and in-laws. He was predeceased by his daughter, Kerrie M. Hutchins, who passed away in 2020. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 11 AM in the Riverside Cemetery, on Dudley Rd. in West Townsend. There are no Calling Hours. The T.J.
