It´s been 2 years since I heard of Dr Gilstrap´s passing. I still thank her almost daily for more than 4+ years of life to spend with my family and watching my grandchildren grow into young adults. I can still hear the click of her heels as she walked toward my room in hospital or the clinic. May memory be for a blessing

I just received word of Dr Gilstrap´s passing in a note from Darthmouth Health. I´m truly saddened by the news. I´m alive today due to her gentle pressure in helping me select treatment options

I knew Lauren all of her life from infancy until she graduated from UT. She was always smiling and she was number one at almost everything she did. She was kind to both children and adults. It is heartbreaking to think of her being gone but I know that I will see her again in heaven. Much love and comforting prayers to her wife and children and to her parents, brother and extended family.

Although I didn't know Dr. Gilstrap well or personally, it was a pleasure to collaborate with her on her research. I am very sorry to hear of her passing. Sending my heartfelt condolences to Lauren's family, friends and colleagues. May peace be with you.
