I was just thinking about my years of working in the press room of United Lithograph and wondered how Lenny was doing. Alas he has passed. What a great boss and salesman he was.... Valé Lenny, glad to have known you

Mr. Bernheimer will be etched in my memory forever. He was good and kind to me. A was a valet at a private squash club he was a member at years ago. I crashed his Porsche and had to tell him... the first words out of his mouth was is anyone hurt??? I was stunned... after saying no he asked me to please take care of the paperwork so he could finish his game...
Never forgot his kindness to me!!
Rest in peace.
Condolences to the family,
Tony

Sincere condolences to Lyn and family. Lenny was unique; a highly talented competitor on the squash court while always exemplifying the utmost in fair play.
In the many times we met in doubles competition we always managed to share a mid match chuckle over something that happened on court. Our respective partners could never quite fathom how we managed to find something humorous in the middle of a fiercely competitive tournament match- that was Lenny's great gift.
The last time I saw Lenny was at the Canadian Doubles at the Toronto Cricket Club. I had retired from the game of squash due to injuries and was there as a spectator. I hadn't seen Lenny for a few years but when Lenny spotted me, he came towards me saying " there's something I've got to do" - he hugged me! I treasure that moment.

My sympathy to the entire Bernheimer family! While I did no know Len personally, I was friendly with his brother, Wally, and wife and children. I understand that Wally and Len were very close.

Lenny and I became best friends as camp mates in 1949, double dated our future wives since 1956, became neighbors in Natick, shared our lakehouse in NH with our kids for many years, became neighbors in FL and remained dear friends throughout. We will think of him and miss him dearly. Fred and Carole Pritzker

Lenny was my cousin´s husband, but he became my cousin too. He was funny and punny, a true gentleman, and always truly interested in what others were doing. He leaves a big hole in the hearts of everyone who knew him. I know there´ll be a big space left unfilled in mine. Fair winds, Len.

Lenny was one of a kind. Learned to water ski and play squash courtesy of a master. He will be missed.

I will always know him as Uncle Lenny. He was the perfect embodiment of a gentleman. He was filled with a positive engagement with the moment and everyone around him. There are so many memories I have of him growing up: from riding in his beloved Porsche, to the many Thanksgiving jokes and insight, working out at the "club", great meals and a couple of one-on-one beers that I will always cherish. Growing up, and still today I regard Lenny as setting the bar for class and integrity as a human being and made it impossible for anyone else to ever come close to his level. My heart goes out to the family and send my deepest sympathies and love. Know that I and my family are here for you in any way.
I love you all.
