LINDA J. FINLAYSON

1964 - 2016

FINLAYSON, Linda J. (Baldwin) 51, of Andover, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at home on Friday, January 1, 2016. Linda was born in Stoneham, MA. on January 24, 1964 to Shirley (Smith) Baldwin and the late Ernest Benjamin Baldwin. A lifelong resident of Andover, she graduated from Andover High School in 1982 and graduated from dental hygiene school in 1984, after which she worked locally as a dental hygienist. She then began working for Baldwin Crane and Equipment Co., the family business, before she married the love of her life and started a family. Linda was blessed to be able to stay home and raise her four strong and courageous children. In her spare time, she was actively involved in the schools, in the church, and numerous after school activities with her children. Her pastimes included traveling the world, gardening with her children, cooking (her talent unrivaled), and reading. She was a bible study leader and a member of an extraordinary book club, full of women whom she loves dearly. More recently, she was an engaged Girl Scout Troup leader for a group of girls whom she loves and was truly passionate. Most recently, she learned to knit and play cribbage which she enjoyed in her free time while she took care of her health with the help of her devoted husband, faithful children, and caring family and friends. Her life, how she lived and how she died, was the proof of His love. Linda is survived by her beloved husband, Gary S. Finlayson of Andover, her children, Blake Finlayson of Andover, Paige Finlayson, Whitney Finlayson and Tatum Finlayson all of Andover, her half-sister, Christina Gunn and her husband Samuel of Brownfield, ME., her siblings, Ernie Baldwin, Jr. and his wife Tara of Andover and Deborah Baldwin of Plaistow, NH., as well as several nieces and nephew. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her Funeral Service on Wednesday at 11AM at the Free Christian Church, 31 Elm Street, Andover. Interment will follow in the Spring Grove Cemetery, Andover. Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 8 in the Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence Street, Andover.
