I´m sad to know of Mrs. Gottlieb´s passing. She was my teacher in the 1970´s in Hingham. She also taught my sister, Claudia, and we both have such fond memories of her as a kind and upbeat teacher who had the gift of making children feel
really seen and heard. We loved her youthful enthusiasm for her profession and the fun energy she brought to each subject she taught us. I know I am just one of many students whose life was really enriched from Mrs. Gottlieb. My deep condolences to her family. Thank you for sharing her with so many children who were lucky enough to have been in her orbit.

I know that today, March 16th, is Linda's birthday. We always exchanged birthday greetings. I will miss our laughter-filled conversations. I have been a good friend of Linda's since 7th grade at Beaver. I was sorry to miss the service on Monday, as I had a surgical procedure at that time. I extend my condolences to Bobby and wish I could have talked to him. Sincerely, Ellen Kaplan Kardon.

I had the privilege of having Miss Gottlieb as my 6th grade teacher (1974-75). She had high expectations of her students and prepared me well for entering jr high. A distinct memory I have is of her reading the book "Alive: The Story of the Andes Survivors" to the class every afternoon. While the subject matter may have been mature and uncomfortable, she made it thought provoking and somehow not as shocking. I also remember her bringing her dog Basil to class periodically. Her legacy will live on through the many students she taught, like me, who remember her fondly.

Linda was my husbands (Peter Tulis Jr.) stepmother. I often met her for lunch or dinner in Boston and always enjoyed our visits together. I had been thinking about her this morning and was then was told of her passing. She will be missed. Rest in Peace Linda.

I was fortunate enough to have Miss Gottlieb (as I still think of her) twice at South Elementary School in the 1970's; once in Third Grade and then again in Sixth. She was a wonderful teacher: smart and funny and so glamorous. By coincidence I just spent a weekend with some childhood friends, as we all mark our 60th birthdays. Three of us were in the Sixth Grade class together, and we so enjoyed having the chance to reminisce about it: the challenging books she read to us, the discussions analyzing songs of the time, such as "American Pie." I'm saddened by her passing, and hope her family knows how much she was loved by her students.

Linda Gottlieb was one of my closest friends during the many years I lived in the Boston area. We met in high school at Beaver Country Day and she had an especially close relationship with my son during all of his school years and beyond. Her wisdom when it came to engaging the minds of young people was a great gift. I was lucky to have known her. My husband Peter and I were also close friends of Linda and her late husband Peter Tulis.

Ms Gottlieb was my teacher in 1978-9. I was very young and too small for hey 6th grade class, but she showed me the power of my intellect and helped me to find the confidence I needed. A wise and clear-eyed woman. She will be missed.

Ms, Gottlieb was my 6th grade teacher at South Elementary in the early 80´s. She had great energy and a personality that made you want to learn. What a treasure the world has lost. RIP Linda.

I was a student of Linda´s in 6th grade and she was an excellent teacher. She had us playing Wordle before Wordle was a thing!! She was a wonderful teacher and I have incredibly fond memories of her.
