I'm so sorry to hear of Lisa's passing. I knew Lisa at Bradley. I remember we were paired up on the homecoming court our Jr. year. She was one of those incredibly positive people who really cared about others, beautiful inside and out. My condolences go out to her family and friends. The world lost a special person...

While visiting with old Starwood Friends, I mentioned Lisa and learned today, 2/17 of Lisa's passing. My heart and soul is sad. I am so sorry Vinnie and to all her friends and family. Lisa and I shared many ITT Sheraton/Starwood adventures. Her smile, her laughter and those eyes that shared what a great soul she was and who brought joy to many. The only words that come to mind is from the bible: I am with you always. I learned of her battle and sent messages through LINKED IN. When inquiring about her, the response was she is fighting. All I can do, what we can do is reflect and celebrate this soul who brought so much to us all. Thank you my friend and more...you are missed. I know in Heaven you are smiling and saying it will be ok. It will be ok because of knowing you. Amen.

A close college friend of Lisa, our communications had grown pretty infrequent. What a tremendous woman. She always knew she wanted to be in the hotel business from age 19, and I recall her first training w Hyatt where she made beds for a month amongst the many training activities. Her dad encouraged her to save some money and buy a manual transmission car after college-- a Nissan Sentra. There was a problem however. She didn't know how to drive a stick shift car. My teaching her in her Lombard, IL apartment parking lot remains one of the top 5 most hilarious events in my life. My best to Vinnie and all who were close to Lisa.

Lisa was truly a pioneer in the hospitality industry. She was kind, generous, giving and a wonderful coach. It saddens me that she was taken away from all of us, especially her family, at such a young age. Even when she went thought difficult times in the past 2 years, she kept her spirits and responded to emails and texts to stay in touch. We will always keep Lisa in our thoughts and share positive moments of how she personally touched our lives. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family during such a difficult time ahead.

My sincere condolences to Vinnie and all of Lisa's family. Lisa and I were part of the Starwood family and worked as Regional VP's of sales and marketing. Lisa was always smart, beautiful, elegant and fun. The world has lost an exceptional person. She did so much good for so many. I guess God decided her work on earth was done. Even how she endured the cancer was inspiring. Still...so young and will be so missed.

I knew Lisa at Starwood and always loved and had great respect for her. When I learned that she was joining us at Trump, I literally shrieked with happiness in the middle of a meeting! I sent her a welcome note and wanted to help her with anything she needed. Lisa was my boss at Trump and through difficult times she was always always there for me. So really she was the one that helped me in the end. She was an incredible, remarkable soul and she had this amazing way about her - everyone just wanted to be around her. Even when I had sent her a note a while ago asking how she was, she instead asked me about myself and my family. I cannot imagine what she went through and I am deeply deeply saddened by her passing. I will try to keep her spirit alive with practicing the same generousity and warmth she showed everyone she met.

She is unbelievably loved in the hospitality industry and is truly a legend that will never be forgotten.

When Lisa started in the business so many years ago at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare, I had the pleasure of training her...and so many years later, I had the same pleasure of working with her at Starwood. What a sweet and kind lady. Always had a smile on her face and a kind word. I'm so saddened to hear this and I wish all who knew her and loved her comfort in knowing how respected she was by all. My sincere condolences.

My heartfelt condolences to Lisa's husband and family for the loss of such a beautiful person inside and out. I first met Lisa 20 something years ago when I joined the Sheraton Chicago National Sales Office and Lisa worked at the Sheraton Chicago. As Lisa soared to high levels of leadership she remained the same lovely and down to earth person I first met years ago. My heart breaks for the loss of such a special and amazing human being. We will miss your deeply Lisa.

All,
I was very fortunate to cross paths with Lisa when I first moved to New York in 2008. Lisa was kind, generous with her advice and time and ALWAYS made sure to watch over her sales folks. She was very, very helpful when there was a problem and never hesitated to jump in to fix difficult situations. Her smile was contagious. We have lost a not only a great person but also a great leader. She schooled many hotel sales managers and DOSMs and her legacy will last for many years. My deepest condolences to all of you in her family. I know you will miss her terribly as will all of us!

Warm regards,
Terry Lewis (Sheraton New York)
