I was fortunate to have Mr. Tobasky as my principal at the Marshall. He was professional, fair, caring, compassionate, available, and so much more. When I won a National award in math/science, he flew to DC in the morning and back home the same day just to be there for the award ceremony! Who else would do that? He was so proud of his teachers. Rest in peace, Mr. Tobasky. You had a major impact on my career and life.
Thoughts and prayers to the family.

Dear Barbara and Tobasky,I'm so sorry for your loss. I always looked forward see Lou and have a chat with him. When I had my granddaughter Mia with me Lou always made a point to stop and talk to her. I was very fond of both Lou and Barbara. May your beautiful memories of Lou help during this very difficult time. RIP Lou. Fondly Debbie Medeiros

We will miss Lou and his wonderful lust for life. We were jus together at our house for Passover. He enjoyed his to the fullest even into his 90s. But he was.a man that adored his family and always put their needs before that of his own. My heartfelt condolences to Auntie Barbara and the entire Tobasky family.

I loved my uncle Lou even though he'd insult my cooking, would refuse to eat in my house and tell me, "You people don't know from anything!" I admit being intimidated by his abrasive personality when I was a kid, but as I grew older and came to understood the man behind the facade, I couldn't help but love and appreciate the wonderful husband, father, and uncle, great uncle, and great great uncle he was. I could see right through his comments into his giant heart and his genuine love for his family and mine. I will forever admire and respect my Uncle Lou, and will try my best to carry out the lessons he taught me about living life to the fullest, traveling to distant lands to learn about different cultures, working out at a gym, (maybe not Planet Fitness!) for as long as I'm able, and enjoying all life has to offer. I will forever remember his excitement when Lauren was accepted to Harvard Law school. He couldnt wait to take us to the Harvard Club for a celebratory dinner. We still have a set of Harvard hi-ball glasses which he shipped to us over the years and I will toast him every time I make myself a cocktail. I, like uncle Lou, enjoy my cocktails! I'm counting on uncle Lou to be my tour guide once I join him in his new world.

One of my all time favorites on earth! Gonna miss your raspy voice, your love of good food, your innocent sarcasm, your resident for our family, everything.
