Robert Ray Obituary

Robert 'Bob' Ray, age 76, of the Hickory Creek Community, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 6 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a member of the Campbell County Masonic Lodge #778 F.&A.M. and was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by parents, Hugh and Oma Archer Ray; brothers, Gary Lynn Ray and Hugh Steven Ray; sisters, Shirley Ray; Nancy Ray Owens; Emily Ray Bolton and Cynthia Ann Ray Gross.
He is survived by his wife, Sonjia Sue Ray; children, Teresa Lynn Ray and husband, Randy Douglas; Darrell Lee Ray and wife, Darlene; Robert 'Bobby' Keith Ray and wife, Nancy and Heather Denise Justice and husband, Robert; nine grandchildren, Adam Berry; Benjamin Berry; Marson Milton; Danielle Yancey; Daniel Ray; Farrin Ray; Emily Ray; Landen Justice and Kylen Justice; one great granddaughter, Hannah Yancey; sisters, Kathleen Marlowe and Carolyn Vinsant; brother, Jody Ray; special sister-in-law, Mary Roberta 'Bert' Leach. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Oct. 9 at 8 p.m. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lynn Ray and the Rev. Ron Bruce officiating. Family and friends met Oct. 10 at 10:15 a.m. at Walters Funeral Home and proceeded to Hall Cemetery for graveside services and interment. The family received friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 9 before services at Walters Funeral Home.
Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette was in charge of arrangements.
